The Zurich Foundation Scholarship 2024 will allow 30 young leaders working on prevention-focused mental well-being projects, adaptation-focused climate resilience projects, or projects promoting social equity through education, employability, or entrepreneurship solutions to attend the One Young World Summit 2024, which will be held in Montréal, Canada, from September 18 to 21. If you are a young leader working to advance any of these causes, this scholarship may be for you.

Together, the Zurich Foundation gives those needing support a better future. Their work is centered on prevention. Their three pillars—enabling social equity, enhancing mental wellness, and adapting to climate change—are pressing, multifaceted problems with broad ramifications for people on an individual, community, and societal level.

Objectives:

Their main goal is to assist underprivileged communities in adjusting to the changing climate. They are creating a global community devoted to enhancing youth mental health and giving them the tools, resources, and education they require to realize their full potential. They think building connections between those in the know and those most in need is essential to building a better future. They also think addressing society’s problems from the ground up is necessary. For this reason, they are dedicated to helping influential leaders attend the yearly One Young World Summit, the largest international gathering of young leaders worldwide.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be:

• 18 to 30 years old in 2024, when the One Young World Summit takes place.
• Zeal for national and international issues.
• Shown a dedication to bringing about constructive change.
• A readiness to interact and work with Zurich employees and other scholarship recipients at the Summit.
• Demonstrated impact in a field aligned with the work of the Z Zurich Foundation, namely:
  • Improving Mental Wellbeing.
  • Enabling Social Equity.
  • Adapting to Climate Change.
