Opportunity Description
The One Young World-Holcim Building Tomorrow Scholarship 2025 applications are open for international applicants. This program aims to support young leaders in exploring the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) for sustainable development, particularly in urban environments. Through collaboration with One Young World, Holcim seeks to foster discussions, offer real-world insights, and promote responsible deployment of AI technologies.
Holcim is dedicated to innovative progress in building for both people and the planet. The responsible deployment of AI is crucial for sustainable and equitable development, and collaborative efforts across sectors are required to establish regulatory frameworks and ethical guidelines.
The scholarship enables five young leaders to attend the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich. The summit will focus on deploying disruptive AI for sustainable construction, enhancing urban resilience, and ensuring responsible AI deployment in urban development.
Unlocking artificial intelligence’s potential is vital for sustainable urban development in a rapidly changing world. Enhanced efficiency and precision through disruptive technologies can advance the construction industry, but sustainability and resilience must accompany these advancements. AI can contribute to energy optimization, waste reduction, and eco-friendly design, mitigating urban environmental impacts. Addressing climate change requires proactive risk identification and infrastructure fortification.
