Despite massive medical advancements, billions of people around the globe still lack access to essential healthcare and affordable medicines. Recognizing the urgent need for systemic change, One Young World has partnered with Sandoz to launch the Sandoz Scholarship 2026.
This initiative is designed to identify and support five outstanding young leaders who are pioneering solutions to healthcare inequalities. Selected scholars will receive a fully funded trip to attend the upcoming One Young World Summit in Cape Town, South Africa, where they will collaborate with global decision-makers, amplify their impact, and join the global Sandoz delegation.

The Sandoz Scholarship is a comprehensive, fully funded opportunity that removes all financial barriers to attending one of the world’s most prestigious youth leadership events. The five selected scholars will receive:
- Summit Access: Full access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town.
- Travel: Round-trip economy flights to and from Cape Town.
- Accommodation: Hotel accommodation covering the core summit dates (November 2 to November 7, 2026).
- Meals & Transport: Breakfast at the hotel, plus lunch and dinner on core Summit days, along with ground transport between the hotel and the venue.
- Exclusive Mentorship: Participation in Sandoz-hosted networking sessions and a dedicated Sandoz “buddy” to help navigate the summit and enhance engagement.

The scholarship is seeking bold, early-career talent actively removing systemic barriers in healthcare. Whether you are running a local health education program, designing rural supply-chain solutions, or creating AI tools for underserved populations, you are highly encouraged to apply.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age: You must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the Summit. (Note: Exceptions are rarely made for applicants over 30 who demonstrate extraordinary personal impact, but applicants under 18 are strictly ineligible).
- Track Record: You must have a demonstrable history of creating practical, innovative solutions that improve healthcare access or reduce medical inequalities in your community, country, or globally.
- Leadership: You must show strong leadership potential and a clear commitment to creating long-term positive change.
