Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship Benefits (Fully Funded)
Hauwa Ojeifo Scholars will receive comprehensive support, including:
- Summit Access: Full delegate access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town.
- Travel: Return flights (economy class) from your country of residence to Cape Town.
- Accommodation: Hotel accommodation for the duration of the Summit.
- Meals: Catering throughout the Summit (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
- Transport: Ground transportation between the hotel and the Summit venue.
- Network & Development: Lifelong membership in the One Young World Ambassador Community and access to the Global Leadership Programme and Action Accelerator.
- Grant Opportunity: The exclusive opportunity to apply for grant funding of up to $25,000 USD for your initiatives.
Thematic Focus Areas
Your work or leadership initiative must have a proven impact aligned with at least one of the following themes:
- Mental Health (including neurodivergence and developmental differences).
- Domestic & Sexual Violence.
- Disability Rights & the rights of older people.
- Gynaecological Health & Sexual & Reproductive Health & Rights.
- Maternal and Child Health.
- Issues of the Girl Child (FGM, Child-Adolescent Pregnancy & Child Marriage).
- Non-Communicable Diseases.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply to Hauwa Ojeifo scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the Summit (November 2026). Note: Candidates over 30 may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional impact and initiative.
- Live and make an impact in Asia, Africa, or the Middle East (Applicants from Afghanistan are highly encouraged to apply).
- Hold a leadership role, work in an organization, or champion your own initiative related to the themes above.
- Demonstrate a willingness to engage with fellow scholarship recipients and the broader community actively.
