Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this high-value scholarship, you must:
- Have applied for and met the entry requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.
- Be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne.
- Open to both domestic (Australian) and international students.
Selection Criteria: Scholarships are awarded to the highest-ranked candidates based on:

Application Procedure
For most new applicants, the process is simple and automatic:
- 1. New Applicants: If you apply for a graduate research course by the application closing date, you do not need to submit a separate scholarship application. You will be automatically considered for all graduate research scholarships. You will receive notification within seven days of your course application submission.
- 2. Current or Deferred Students: If you are already enrolled or have deferred your offer to the following year and now wish to be considered for a scholarship, you must submit an online application form.
Outcome Notification:
- Offers for stipends and fee offsets are generally made around the same time as course offers.
- Domestic students will receive Research Training Program (RTP) offers with their course offer.
