Benefits of the DAAD EPOS Scholarship

Selected Candidates will benefit from the DAAD EPOS scholarship as follows:

• Monthly payments of 992 euros for graduates
• Accident, health, and personal liability insurance
• Travel allowance provided unless covered by home country or other funding source

Additional benefits under certain circumstances:

• Monthly rent subsidy
• Monthly allowance for accompanying family members

Who can apply?

Candidates who fulfill the criteria below are eligible to apply for the DAAD EPOS Scholarship:

• Applicants must be employed by a public authority, state, or private company in a developing country engaged in planning and implementing development policies.
• Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject, typically completed in four years.
• Achieved far above average results (upper third) in academic degree with at least two years of related professional experience after gaining the bachelor’s degree.
• Academic degrees should generally not be more than 6 years old at the time of application.
• Applicants residing in Germany for more than 15 months as of the application deadline are ineligible.
• Meet the language skills: IELTS (Band 6) or TOEFL (minimum score: 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, 80 internet-based).

• Copies of higher education degree certificates (with certified translations if not in English or German)
• Copy of full set of transcripts of records (with an explanation of the grading system if not included)
• APS Certificate (for applicants from the People’s Republic of China)
