Applications for the 2026 class of the Millennium Fellowship are open to undergraduate students worldwide. The UN Academic Impact (UNAI) and Millennium Campus Network (MCN) Millennium Fellowship is a unique semester-long leadership development program that aims to develop participants’ leadership capacity.
This opportunity aims to help undergraduate applicants advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Therefore, young and inspiring leaders worldwide aged 18 or older can participate in this inspirational and authentic leadership program. Join the class of 2026!

Eligibilities of Millennium Fellowship
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Must be at least 18 years old and enrolled in a college or university in good standing.
- Commit to meeting in-person at least eight times (August–December 2026) with Campus Directors and Fellows.
- Attendance at all sessions is mandatory; missing sessions may result in expulsion.
- Each Campus Hub includes 8–20 Fellows, with at least eight accepted per hub and 2 Campus Directors.
- Applicants are encouraged to invite peers from their campus to apply and join the Fellowship community.
Selection Criteria for The Millennium Fellowship
The judges will look for cohorts and fellows to champion this program as follows:
- Frequency: All fellows will invest in capacity building through community building and interaction with one another based on their fellowship curriculum vitae.
- Buy-in: Anyone, including a university president or vice-chancellor, will get behind the Millennium fellows to follow their vision and take action for their projects; if fellows undertake projects on campus, members of the community will be involved in leading and shaping them.
- Impact: Applicants must successfully run their projects and share their stories to advance the SDGs and UNAI principles with MCN and UNAI.
- Continuity: Fellows with campus directors meet regularly beyond the program and must commit to building a robust campus hub.
How to Apply for the Millennium Fellowship?
Eligible applicants should fill out the online application form for the Millennium Fellowship 2026. Due to the limited number of fellowships, apply as early as possible. The selection committee will evaluate all submitted applications on a rolling basis, and eligible applicants will proceed to the next and final application round.
