About the United Nation Young Professionals Program (UN YPP)

Each Year United Nations offers a two-three year recruitment program  of Young Professional program (UN YPP) for young professionals from different countries to work in the UN secretariat. United nations Young Professionals Program will provide job opportunities for young professionals with limited experience to work in the United Nations and obtain a skill and professional development program.

Applicants who are eligible countries listed below and meet the following requirements are qualified to apply:

  • Hold a bachelor degree or at least a three-year equivalent degree related to the exam subject they apply for
  • Area of education:
    • Archival Sciences
    • Documentation Techniques
    • Information Management
    • Library
    • Museums and Similar Repositories


    • Law
  • Be 32 years old or younger as of December 31 of the examination year.
  • Have proficiency in English or French
  • No work experience is required.
