About the UN YPP program

Each Year United Nations offers a two-three year recruitment program  of Young Professional program (UN YPP) for young professionals from different countries to work in the UN secretariat. United nations Young Professionals Program will provide job opportunities for young professionals with limited experience to work in the United Nations and obtain a skill and professional development program.

Applicants who are eligible countries listed below and meet the following requirements are qualified to apply:

  • Hold a bachelor degree or at least a three-year equivalent degree related to the exam subject they apply for
  • Area fo education:
    • management and administration ( business and administration, computing, education, environmental protection, humanities, law, mathematics and statistics, security services, social & behavioral science, social services, transport services
    • Global communication: Business and administration, computing, journalism &information, humanities, social & behavioral science
    • Political affairs and Human rights: Business and administration, computing, journalism &information, humanities, social & behavioral science
  • Be 32 years old or younger as of December 31 of the examination year.
  • Have proficiency in English or French
  • No work experience is required.
