Applications are open for the Excellence Master Fellowships at the Geneva University‘s science faculty for 2024-25. This university leads an international research institute, which covers an extensive range of scientific fields such as astronomy, biology, chemistry and biochemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics, pharmaceutical science, earth science, and the environment.

The faculty of science launched the Excellence Fellowship program with the coordination of some external and internal partners. The Excellence Fellowship program offers an excellent opportunity for highly motivated applicants who intend to conduct their master’s degree in Switzerland and provides a grant amount of 10000 to 15000 CHF for applicants yearly. Interested applicants who have a bachelor’s degree are highly encouraged to apply.

10000-15000 CHF of Grants for the first year will be extended based on the applicant’s academic achievements and performance.

Required Documents

Applicants should prepare and submit the following documents:

• Scan of national identity card or passport
• Curriculum Vitae (2 pages maximum)
• Transcript of exams passed during bachelor education, including all grades
• Motivation letter describing specific scientific interests and motivation to pursue the Master of Science program at the University of Geneva
• Letters of reference from two professors (preferably sent directly to Excellence-Master-Sciences@unige.ch)
• Any other pertinent information, such as GRE results, TOEFL scores, or other language test results
