Opportunity Description
Turkish Diyanet Foundation (TDF) is receiving applications for International Islamic Scholarships. TDF supports Islamic Studies and offers undergraduate and graduate scholarships for students from 111 countries for teaching and training in each aspect of Islam, contributing to Muslim communities, and building friendly relationships between Turkey and other societies.

Edibility Conditions
Applicants who meet the following requirements can apply for the Turkey Diyanet Foundation Scholarship:
General Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must not be citizens of the Republic of Türkiye (except for graduates of the International Theology License Program, who must apply with their foreign ID).
- Master’s program applicants must be born after 01.01.1996, while doctoral program applicants must be born after 01.01.1991.
- A gap of more than two years between the last completed degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and acceptance into the next academic program is not permitted.
- Applicants must not have any mental or physical health conditions that could hinder their studies in Türkiye.
- No history of disciplinary actions or criminal convictions during previous education.
Academic Requirements
- Master’s Program:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Divinity, Islamic Studies, or an equivalent program (or expected graduation by July 2026).
- A thesis is required if it was part of the undergraduate program.
- Doctoral Program:
- A Master’s degree in Divinity, Islamic Studies, or an equivalent program (or expected graduation by July 2026).
- A thesis is required for the Master’s degree.
Language Proficiency
- Applicants who completed their previous studies abroad must provide an internationally recognized language certificate. Accepted exams include:
- English: TOEFL, IELTS, CPE, CAE, iBT, PTE
- German: TestDaF, DSD II, TELC Deutsch, Goethe Institute
- French: DELF, DALF
- Italian: CELI
- Spanish: DELE
- Russian: TORFL
- Arabic: ALPT
- Applicants who completed their previous studies in Türkiye (or expect to graduate by July 2026) must meet the following language requirements:
- A minimum score of 50 in the YDS/YÖKDİL exams (organized by ÖSYM).
- Preferably, a minimum score of 55 in the ALES exam (organized by ÖSYM).

- Applicants with internationally recognized publications are preferred.
Application Procedure
Applications will pass the document and information checks to complete the preliminary evaluation process. Applicants will receive face-to-face interview invitations in their respective countries, and the interview panel will evaluate the candidates according to the following areas:

- Knowledge of reciting the Qur’an and tajwid;
- Basic religious knowledge (Faith, worship, Sirah ethics);
- General culture;
- Self-expression ability;
- Preference awareness;
- Special talent;
- Language skills
How to Apply?
Applicants must apply online before the deadline. Application via Email or post is not acceptable. The selection committee will only review and approve the complete application package. The selected applicants will receive notifications for the interview or exam conducted at Turkish foreign missions.

Result announcements:
After the interview, the foundation will send an email notification to Accepted students for the Diyanet Scholarship program regarding the visa procedure, travel to Turkiye, and registration at their assigned educational institution.
- Depending on the university and department to which they are placed,
students may be required to complete a one-year scientific preparatory program. - Before coming to Türkiye, students accepted into the scholarship program must sign a commitment to comply with the scholarship terms and disciplinary regulations.
- Students admitted to the scholarship program will be placed at one of the above mentioned state universities located in Ankara, Bursa, Istanbul, Konya,or Kayseri.
