TDF supports Islamic Studies and offers scholarships for students from 111 countries for teaching and training in each aspect of Islam, contributing to Muslim communities, and building friendly relationships between Turkey and other societies.

Edibility Criteria

Applicants who meet the following requirements can apply for the Turkey Diyanet Foundation Scholarship:

1. Be a national of a country other than the Republic of Turkey
2. Born after 01 January 2005
3. Be in good health, physically and mentally
4. Having no problem studying in Turkey
5. Provide a high school graduation certificate with a score of 70% or higher
6. No punishment was received while looking in his country
7. He must have taken a break in his education for at most two years after high school.
8. Do not be studying in Turkey currently
9. Not have repeated or suspended from the school for more than two years without any valid reason.
10. Have not been penalized for any disciplinary action during his education in his country

Documents Required

Selected Applicants for Schoalrships, should provide the following documents to register at educational institution:

• High School certificate and transcript
• ID Card or Passport
• Education valid visa
• Health report
• Six photos of 4.5×6
• Study permit from a Turkish mission in their home country
• Document equivalency certificate  in Turkish for high school diploma from a consultant, representative, or educational attach or any qualified Turkish authority
• Motivation letter
• Reference Letter regarding applicant’s education in Turkey

Application Procedure

Applications will pass the document and information checks to complete the preliminary evaluation process. Applicants will receive face-to-face interview invitations in their respective countries, and the interview panel will evaluate the candidates according to the following areas:

• Visual Aptitude Test;
• Knowledge of reciting the Qur’an and tajwid;
• Basic religious knowledge (Faith, worship, Sirah ethics);
• General culture;
• Self-expression ability;
• Preference awareness;
• Special talent;
• Language skills

Applicants must apply online before the deadline. Application via Email or post is not acceptable. The selection committee will only review and approve the complete application package. The selected applicants will receive notifications for the interview or exam conducted in Turkish foreign missions.
