Application is open for The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholarship. Students from developing countries can apply to study their Master degree in Renewable energy through DAAD scholarship in Germany.

About the program

There is a Postgraduate Program in two areas (Sustainable Renewable Energy Technologies (SuRE) and “European Master in Renewable Energy -EMRE” in Germany offered by the University of Oldenburg for international students for the academic year 2023.

University of Uldenburg

The university was established in 1973, one of the young universities in Germany, this university aims to find answers to the big questions of society in the 21 century- with top-class interdisciplinary research and teaching, the university works closely with more than 200 universities around the world.

Course focus:

The focus of the course will contain both practical, lectures, internship and more specialized continuation of the core module, and in the last semester of the program, the students will work on their thesis project.

Who is able to apply?

  • Applicants with Natural science and engineering academic background
  • Applicants must aim to build on relevant career experience and apply knowledge to the energy sector

 Instruction language: English


  • Applicants must have a bachelor degree in science or engineering
  • Have two years of professional work experience
  • English language proficiency: TOEFL (IBT 80, CBT 2013, PBT 550), IELTS 6.0- or equivalent Certificate (Native speakers or applicants who studied their previous degree in English are exempted.
  • Applicants’ graduation year must not be more than 6 years ago.

Degree awarded: Master of Science

Duration: 2 years with 2 months of language preparation

Class start date: October 2023


  • DAAD scholarship deadline: 15 October 2022
  • Self-financing applicants other than DAAD applicants: from 15 January 2023
