National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) of Afghanistan has recently announced 130  IT Officer Jobs for various provinces to recruit eligible employees in an open competition. Therefore, eligible job-seekers can read the details below and apply accordingly.

Vacancy details:

Position Title: IT Officer

Jobs Summary:

Provision of facilities and Information Technology (IT) and technical services for the provincial E-ID Distribution Centers’ Offices according to NSIA’s policies.

Job requirements

Skills and qualifications:

  • Have at least a bachelor degree in one of the fields such as computer science, computer engineering, informatics, IT, information management or information systems (higher degrees in these fields will be preferred);
  • One year of (management and executive) experience;
  • Proficiency in the official languages of the country (Persian and Pashto) and written and verbal familiarity with the English language.
  • Only residents of the related districts of the province can apply for the above-mentioned positions.
  • Computer Skills in job- related programs
  • Typing ability and skills in Pashto and Dari languages
  • Be ready to accomplish the job in the first or second shift of work at the Tazkira distribution center as appropriate;
  • Ready to do the job according to work-based payment system as necessary;
  • Be ready to do the job if relocated (from capital of the province to districts or vice versa)

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual work plan according to the general plan of the administration to achieve the office goals;
  • Having information about the procedures, principles, and legal documents of E-ID;
  • Installing the computer networks equipment, IT system and internet connectivity in the related provincial and central directorates;
  • Ensuring the Gemket performance in appropriate working condition  and providing updates on their performance;
  • Installing and using MS Office 2003/2007/2010/2013/2016;
  • Maintaining IT infrastructure in the provincial NSIA Directorate and related Tazkira distribution center;
  • Installing and activating IPv6,VOIP,VPN,NAT,DNS,DHCP,DOMAIN,TCP/IP & IPv4;
  • Maintaining and updating information database for provision of technical help to the center;
  • Installing and activating security cameras and electronic attendance machines;
  • Managing quality, service performance, computer network & internet expansion to all parts of the center;
  • Demonstrating integrity, commitment, and responsibility toward the job;
  • Partaking in capacity building programs conducted by the office; and
  • Submitting monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on activities and achievements as per the need.
