If so, the course “Mastering International Climate Negotiations: All You Need to Know” is designed just for you. It provides an interactive and accessible guide to help participants understand and engage in the complex landscape of global climate negotiations.
This new online self-paced course guides participants through the complexities of global climate negotiations ahead of COP29. Developed with the collaboration of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat and the COP28 UAE Presidency Youth Climate Champion, it empowers youth and newcomers in the climate negotiation space.
It aims to simplify key aspects of the UNFCCC framework, covering critical topics like implementing the Paris Agreement and related climate action policies. The course is structured with video-based lessons to foster a deeper understanding of how these agreements impact global climate policies.
The course does more than inform; it empowers youth to engage meaningfully in climate negotiations. Through 12 engaging video lessons, participants gain essential insights into the UNFCCC process, building theoretical and practical knowledge to participate effectively.
This initiative was driven by youth feedback on the need for capacity building in climate negotiations, focusing on inclusivity and accessibility. The course enables young people to participate meaningfully and effectively in the UNFCCC processes and beyond.
