The Warwick Chancellors International Scholarships at Warwick University are available to the top international postgraduate researchers. For the 2026/27 entry, £5 million will be allocated for 42 Chancellor’s International Scholarships for exceptional international PhD applicants.
Applicants who contribute significantly to Warwick’s thriving global community of world-leading researchers can apply for the 42 awards made for entry for Autumn 2025. Benefits of the Chancellor’s International Scholarship
The following awards will be available for entry in the autumn of 2025/26:
- Full tuition fee
- A 3.5-year maintenance stipend at the current UKRI rate (conditional £21300 for full-time awardees)
- A one-off Research, Training and Supporting Grant (RTSG) of £5,000 to fund research-related expenses.
- For eligible scholars, there is an opportunity to apply for financial support towards the cost of immigration to the UK.
- Paid short-term, family, and medical leave options.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Chancellor’s International Scholarship are as follows:
- To be eligible for this scholarship, apply to the University of Warwick for a PhD starting in October 2026 OR
- Already enrolled in the first year of a Ph.D. or MPhil/Ph.D. at the University of Warwick; to be eligible, you must be within the first 12 months of enrolment in a PhD or MPhil/PhD at the University in October 2025
- Applicants should be overseas fee-paying students.
- There are no nationality requirements
- Applicants from any discipline at Warwick can apply for this opportunity
- Students cannot defer to the next academic year

- The results of the Chancellor’s International Scholarship will be emailed by the beginning of March 2026.
