This structured approach ensures that all candidates are fairly evaluated and that those who are most qualified are selected to move forward in the process.

Application evaluation:

Applications are first reviewed to check compliance with basic eligibility criteria such as nationality, age, educational qualifications, and language proficiency.

Suppose an exam area attracts more than 40 eligible applicants from the same country. In that case, these candidates are then evaluated and ranked based on their educational level, proficiency in official UN languages, and relevant professional experience.

For exams conducted in two stages, up to 60 candidates per country, per exam area, may be selected for the first stage. Of these, a maximum of 40 may advance to the second stage.

All candidates will be notified about the status of their applications.
