Eligibility Criteria

Application eligibility criteria are as follows:

• Open to all living women photographers, regardless of nationality or age.
• Work done for commercial advertising or as an editorial assignment will not be acceptable.
• Photographs submitted must not have been published or exhibited in France before.
• Applications can be submitted directly by photographers or on their behalf by professionals in the field.

• A brief letter of intent describing the creative and artistic dimension of the submitted work in PDF format
• 12 to 18 pictures in JPEG format, 72 dpi, and not exceeding 2 MB each

Selection Process

Following is the selection process for the Prix Virginia 2024:

• The jury, consisting of 8 recognized specialists in visual arts, reviews submissions.
• Jury discussions and deliberations are private and reserved for members.
• The President of the Jury has a dominating vote.
• Besides the winner, the jury names up to 10 contenders of particular value.
• The prize might not be awarded if the submissions do not meet the criteria.
