Opportunity Description

The Global Leaders Program by McCain Institute is now accepting applications. The McCain Global Leaders Program, which supports character-driven leaders worldwide, exemplifies Senator John McCain’s heritage of dedicating oneself to a cause greater than oneself. Each cohort will consist of 25 diverse leaders fighting to advance democracy, human rights, and freedom worldwide. It will be designed as a 12-month fellowship and immersive learning opportunity. By offering training, resources, and access to relevant regional and international networks, the program aims to develop each leader’s personal and professional leadership journey and influence and equip current leaders to address future issues.

Global Leaders Program will cover the following costs:

Economy class travel
Hotels
Meals
Incidentals

Note: You will not receive a monthly stipend

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants should be in their mid-career, have a working knowledge of English, and be actively involved in the program’s focus issue areas.
Aspiring McCain Global Leaders (MGLS) should hold a leadership position in their industry and be “on the ground,” making a difference in their societies.
Applicants should be dedicated to serving a cause larger than themselves and fully commit to virtual engagements, in-person events, and post-program alumni activities.
There are no educational requirements.
There is no age limit, but most MGLs are between 25 and 40.
