Organization Description

The McCain Institute, established in collaboration with Arizona State University, is a nonpartisan think tank located in Washington, D.C. Its primary mission is to advocate for democracy, human dignity, and global security, striving for a world that is free, safe, and just for all.

Founded in 2012, the institute is named after the late U.S. Senator and 2008 Republican Party presidential nominee, John McCain. As part of Arizona State University, the McCain Institute operates with its headquarters in Washington, D.C. Evelyn Farkas, a prominent American national security advisor, author, and foreign policy analyst, serves as its executive director. She is a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia.
