Job Responsibilities:

  • Act by ORCD’s guidelines;
  • Every kid under five should have their anthropometric measurements (weight, height, and age), MUAC, and edema checked.
  • Classify all children under five into well-nourished, moderate acute malnutrition (MAM), and severe acute malnutrition categories (SAM).
  • All children under two should have their growth monitored and registered.
  • Ensure adequate follow-up and sharing with MHNT, provide the default and absentee list.
  • Directing the MHNT in charge of treating severely malnourished youngsters.
  • Follow-up on instances found on the subsequent visit from the exact location.
  • In each location, conduct counseling on proper infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices for moms of all children under two years old who are pregnant, nursing, or both.
  • Counseling and directing SAM, MAM, and very undernourished PLWs to the appropriate venues
  • At each location, regularly conduct nutrition instruction.
  • Counseling the caregivers as necessary on hygiene promotion techniques.
  • Direct moms of undernourished kids to psychological assistance.
  • Reporting all MHNT-level nutrition counseling activities, including any educational sessions held.
  • You’re responsible for giving your line supervisor information and reports on your actions.
  • Keep any ORCD-related matters private.
  • Any other duty that the provincial project manager assigns.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be Afghan.
  • Have completed the 12th grade.
  • A minimum of one year’s experience offering nutrition counseling services. IDP-related experience will be advantageous.
  • Ability to uphold ethics and professionalism in the provision of services.
  • It is necessary to be fluent in Pashto and Dari, both orally and in writing. English language proficiency is a bonus.
  • Ready to enter the field.
