Opportunity Description

The World Bank Accountability Mechanism (AM) Internship program application is open to young professionals from Global South countries. AM is an independent complaints mechanism for people and communities to complain if they think they’ve been harmed or might get hurt by a project funded by the World Bank.

The World Bank AM Dispute Resolution Service (DRS) gives a chance to interested young professionals to learn about the mission and work of the World Bank Accountability Mechanism.

The intern will help with tasks like researching and analyzing cases, writing, filing cases, planning events, and other jobs for the Dispute Resolution Service (DRS). This internship is a chance for the intern to learn more about independent accountability systems and the dispute resolution field, which includes mediation, facilitation, and dialogue. The candidates will also learn about accountability issues in different parts of the world.

This internship is for recent graduates and young professionals from countries in the global south. It’s a good opportunity for those who are interested in accountability and solving disputes in international organizations.

The internship is fully funded in Washington, DC, at the World Bank Headquarters. Successful candidates will get support to obtain the necessary work visa for the internship period.

There are two internship positions available, each lasting six months. They will be carried out one after the other throughout the financial year. Internship candidates should make it clear in their application that they are available to work full-time.
