Venture-Z, a startup competition for entrepreneurs’ applications, is open for 2024. It is an exciting and dynamic startup competition that provides an exceptional platform for ambitious entrepreneurs from Generation Z to present their creative business ideas and make a lasting influence on society.

Venture-Z, part of the prestigious 2nd International Conference on Sustainability: Developments and Innovations (ICSDI) 2024, brings together the sharpest minds and visionary thinkers passionate about making the world a better place.

Venture-Z Tracks:

Track 1 Engineering Innovations:

This track focuses on startups that provide novel mechanical, civil, electrical, and environmental engineering solutions. It includes sophisticated materials, energy systems, infrastructural development, and ecological technology, among other things.

Track 1 | Sustainable Business Ventures:

This class is for startups that combine environmentally friendly practices and philosophies into their business models. It covers sustainable supply chains, green manufacturing, eco-friendly products, and renewable energy enterprises.

Track 2: | Environmental Solutions:

This track is aimed exclusively at startups that address environmental issues and provide sustainable solutions. It addresses pollution control, waste management, improved water and air quality, and environmental monitoring technology.

Track 4: | Social Entrepreneurship:

Startups that combine business innovation with social impact are eligible for this route. It involves activities addressing social issues, promoting inclusivity, empowering communities, and contributing to long-term development goals.

Track 5: | Future Cities:

This track focuses on startups that help shape the future of cities through innovative urban planning, smart infrastructure, sustainable mobility, IoT-enabled urban solutions, AI-driven urban management systems, and sustainable urban development practices.

About Prince Sultan University:

Prince Sultan University was established in 1998 and began accepting students the following year. In 2002, the PSC of the Ministry of Higher Education was elevated to the status of Prince Sultan University (PSU).

HRH Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense, and Inspector General, inaugurated it. PSU is a non-profit institution founded in Riyadh by the Al-Riyadh Philanthropic Society, which serves as PSU’s legal umbrella. It was established in memory of the late Crown Prince Sultan under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, when he was governor of the Riyadh region and chairman of the Board of Directors. The Ministry of Higher Education has granted permission for PSU to operate.

Eligibility for the Venture-Z Startup Competition

The Venture-Z Startup Competition is accessible to aspiring entrepreneurs and startup teams from various industries and backgrounds. Participants must fulfill the following requirements:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Be a viable company, idea, or an early-stage startup
• Apply as an individual or team (maximum team size of 5 members)
• Participants from other countries can apply

Selection Criteria

The startup pitches will be judged based on various criteria, including innovation, market potential, practicality, team capability, and scalability. The particular scoring criteria will be disclosed to participants in advance to assist them in preparing and aligning their presentations.
