Young Afghan interested to Humphrey fellowship can apply now. Humphrey fellowship provide a one year non-degree program for all recipients of the fellowship. The fellows get the opportunity of 10 month course work and internship in a professional organization in the United States.

Eligibility

Afghan citizen who meets the following criteria can apply:

  • Applicants must return to Afghanistan
  • Qualified women, and disables are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Be living in Afghanistan
  • Hold a bachelor degree by June 2018
  • Have 5 years of professional experience before August 2019
  • Demonstrate leadership potential
  • Be proficient in Oral and written English
  • No living experience in US
  • Not have dual citizenship of US
  • Have two letters of recommendation
  • Essay
  • Not be US mission employee
  • Have a public service record
  • No dependents and Maharam are allowed.
  • Be mid-career professional in the following fields:
    • Agriculture and rural development
    • Economic development/finance and banking
    • Natural resource, environmental policy and climate change
    • Urban and regional planning
    • Law and human rights
    • Communication and journalism
    • HR management
    • Technology policy management
    • Trafficking in persons and prevention
    • Public policy analysis and Public administration
    • Education administration
    • Teaching of English as a Foreign language
    • Public health
