Program summary

The United Nations Institute for Research and Training (UNITAR) is glad to offer an online training program specially designed for the global youth.

There are approximately 1.8 billion people between the ages of 10-24 today which is the largest young population in the world. So, with the ever-increasing interaction, young people increasingly contribute to generating solutions, driving social progress, and inspiring political initiatives. Moreover, the youth are representatives of change, mobilizing to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to better the lives of people and the health of the planet.

Young leaders Training Programme is open to all actors related to international affairs who wish to take leadership roles in their respective environement and to build up knowledge and skills related to the United Nations and International Geneva.

Program content

The United Nations Young Leaders Online Training Programme contains a 4-week e-Learning course implemented on UNITAR’s e-learning platform.

The course modules are:

1: The United Nations

2: Conference Diplomacy

3: Negotiation Skills

4: Cosmopolitan Communication

The course includes weekly reading material, multimedia files as well as discussion boards sharing views with fellow participants and UNITAR instructors.

The e-Learning modules will be supplemented by a series of 1.5 hours of live webinars presented to participants by UN experts via Zoom.

C – Cosmopolitan Communication

D – The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Additionally, the training includes 3.5-hour e-workshops for participants.
