Opportunity Description

The UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET (technical and vocational education and training) Leadership Programme 2023 is now accepting applications. The goal of the UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme is to increase the capacity of TVET leaders from all over the globe and help them become successful and effective change agents both inside their institutions and outside of them. The program aims to provide participants with the most recent information on TVET trends as well as the knowledge and abilities needed for efficient leadership in the TVET industry.

More than 700 TVET leaders, managers, and employees from more than 95 countries have received training through the TVET Leadership Programme since 2016. This covers the program’s worldwide and regional versions, which are run using both traditional and modern organizational methods. 140 athletes from 61 nations received training for the 2022 edition.

About Program:

The UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET Leadership Programme 2023 will be available online and will focus on three crucial areas that TVET leaders must master in order to be change agents:

  • Strategic knowledge: “vision for change”.
  • Thematic knowledge: “knowledge for change”. and
  • Leadership and management skills: “skills for change”.

The program’s goals include sharpening leaders’ perspectives, disseminating the most recent TVET information and trends, and offering a platform for skill development. With presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities on a variety of chosen themes spanning four key modules, each dimension will be carefully curated.

  • Module 1: Vision for change
  • Module 2: Knowledge for change
  • Module 3: Skills for change
  • Module 4: Proposals and action plan for change

Eligibility Criteria:

The following functional jobs, held by mid-level to senior TVET(technical and vocational education and training) workers, are the program’s target audience:

  • Institutional leadership and management in the areas of TVET, skills, and employment.
  • Establishing or putting into practice policies and regulations.
  • Appraisal and observation. and
  • Management of partnerships and networking

Candidates should meet the requirements listed below:

  • Generate change in the TVET industry, in skills, in employment systems, or in institutions.
  • 5 years minimum of professional experience in the TVET industry, in skill-based systems, in employment institutions, etc.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Candidates must be committed to taking an active role in the program, which includes creating an action plan.
