Nominate Your heroes who stand up to prove that peace is possible and justice is within reach for Sydney Peace Prize. The nomination for the 2022 round is open now. Prize winners of 2020 will be accepting their prizes in 2021.
About The Sydney Peace Prize
The Sydney Peace Prize, Australia’s only international prize for peace offers support for peace leaders to spread their messages far and wide. Sydney Peace Foundation runs this award for over 20 years. If you are residing in Australia, or live abroad, the Sydney Peace Foundation welcomes everyone to nominate.
Recipients would inspire us how we can live together in peace, with justice, equality, and compassion. The award has national and international significance as it presents the solutions made by of the world’s most effective peacemakers which prove peace is possible.
The Award:
- 50,000 dollar prize
- A hand-made glass trophy made by Australian artist Brian Hirst
- Spend a week in Sydney to promote understanding of their work by media and community
- Meeting with students at Cabramatta High School’s Peace Day
Selection Criteria:
The nominees could be an individual or organization which will be selected by a jury of highly respected members based on the following three important criteria:
- Locally, nationally or internationally realization of peace with justice
- To foster and achieve human rights
- The application and language of nonviolence

You can nominate your role-model nominee online. Each candidacy should include an explanation describing the worthiness of the nomination (about 200 words), with related supporting material.
