Monash Business School at Monash University is thrilled to offer the MBA International Excellence in Leadership Scholarship to strengthen a diversified group of international leaders among the MBA cohort. The Business School is firmly committed to advocating business professionals in expanding their careers. The scholarship may be granted to up to two MBA students in each cohort.

2021 Intake

As there is only one intake for the MBA per year, with the program beginning in February each year, early application is recommended for the best chance of admission.

Eligibility criteria

Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Be an applicant of the Monash MBA Programme;
• Be an international student;
• Have secured an Australian bachelor’s degree or its equivalent;
• Have a minimum of three years’ work experience with an at least one-year managerial experience; and
• Strong English language proficiency

Core selection criteria

Successful candidates for the available scholarship will be chosen in view of the below criteria:

Career path _ the path through which the applicant has come and made choices so far;

Career planning _ a prospect of the applicant and their hopes for career growth. For instance, specific roles and responsibilities including the hallmarks of applicant’s plan to make their career growth happen;

Contribution/activities_ a manifestation of the applicant’s promise and ability to partake in the leadership of his/her organizations and their communities;

Fees

It includes tuition, materials, international study fees and accommodation fees on the international trade module; international travel expenses for MBA5413 are not included.

How to apply?

The application process of this scholarship has three stages: application submission, interview, and notification.

Applications are submitted via an online portal for admission to the Monash MBA Programme. While applying, applicants need to upload a series of documents including:

• Online application form
• Comprehensive curriculum vitae
• A Statement of Purpose
• Certified copies of career transcripts
• Residency or citizenship evidence
• English language proficiency documents (if applicable)
• Two professional referees’ contact information
• Scholarship application if applicable

A scholarship Application Statement which must:

Be titled as “MBA International Excellence in Leadership Scholarship”

Meet each of the three core evaluation criteria for the scholarship

Not exceed 500 words

Note: Please note that you should submit all the supporting documents listed above. Incomplete submission will not be evaluated.
