Foreign students can apply for full-time study at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. levels.

Ministry of Science and Higher Education of RK offers this Scholarship to International Students, providing tuition fees and a monthly stipend to selected applicants.

Requirements for Kazakhstan Scholarship for International Students

Applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for this program:

• Hold the nationality of any country from around the world
• Be persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan
• Evidence confirming the secondary education in a ‘good’ manner for an undergraduate degree program
• Bachelor’s diploma or specialist with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent in previous education for a Master’s degree program
• Master’s degree with at least a GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent in previous education for a Ph.D. degree program
• International certificate proving foreign language knowledge for Master’s degree and Ph.D. programs

Bachelor’s Degree

Applicants must be enrolling at each educational level for the first time and provide:

• A valid identity document (including a refugee certificate, if applicable).
• Academic transcripts and notarized translations (Kazakh, Russian, or English), with a minimum “Good” grade in secondary education.
• A motivational essay in Kazakh, Russian, or English.
• One letter of recommendation from an educational institution or employer.
• A health certificate for international students, including an HIV/AIDS clearance.
• Completed application form
• Letter of invitation from a Kazakhstan university (if available).

Master’s Degree

Applicants must be enrolling at each educational level for the first time and provide:

• A valid identity document.
• Academic transcripts and notarized translations (Kazakh, Russian, or English) from an institution with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.
• A motivational essay in Kazakh, Russian, or English.
• Two letters of recommendation from an educational institution or employer.
• A health certificate for international students, including an HIV/AIDS clearance.

• Letter of invitation from a Kazakhstan university (if available).
• Proof of foreign language proficiency (if required):

  • French: TFI (≥B2 in reading & listening), DELF (B2), DALF (B2), TCF (≥50 points).
  • Chinese: HSK (≥Level 4).
  • Exemption: No certificate required if previous education was in the program’s language.

Doctoral Program

Applicants must be enrolling at each educational level for the first time and provide:

• A valid identity document.
