The Chinese Government Scholarship _YES China Program applications are now open to Zhejiang University (ZJU) in 2026. YES China, the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China, is a fully-funded master’s degree scholarship for international students. This program aims to provide educational opportunities to outstanding students worldwide with a global vision, excellent leadership potential, and cross-cultural capability.

The Chinese Ministry of Education has designed this program, and the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) is the only body responsible for managing and administering it.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should meet the following criteria to apply for the YES China Program:

• Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens of any nationality;
• Be in good health conditions;
• Meet the Chinese Government Scholarship _YES China age limit (be under 45 years old);
• Provide bachelor’s degree qualifications;
• Prove at least three years of work experience with the relevant working background;
• Be senior governmental officials, administrative staff of colleges and universities, senior management staff of institutions and enterprises, or those with work experience or internship in International Organizations;
• Provide Pre-admission notice from Zhejiang University (enter here).

Zhejiang University will examine all the application materials below for the Chinese Government Scholarship:

• Copy of applicant’s passport
• Highest degree certificates
• Academic transcripts
• Language proficiency certificates
• Employment certificate or work experience evidence
• Personal statement
• Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form issued within the last six months
• Certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued within the last six months
• Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors

Note: The letter must include the professor’s signature, phone number, and email address.

How to Apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship?

The application for the YES China is online, and applicants should enter the CSC Online Application System for Study in China, clearly fill in and upload complete application materials as necessary. Please select the scholarship Type A in the CSC system, and enter 1563 as the agency number.
