Applications are open for the A*STAR Computing and Information Science (ACIS) Scholarship for international Ph.D. applicants. ACIS Scholarship aims to attract and enable talented students who wish to pursue a Ph.D. in computing and information science (CIS) disciplines. ACIS Scholarship opens the gateway to exciting careers in A*STAR, technology enterprises, industry R&D labs, spin-off companies, and academia.
Scholars in the program will have opportunities to research real-world issues across the whole field of computing science, from data analytics for improved machine learning to a deep understanding for healthcare and modeling and simulation for advanced applications.
ACIS Scholarship provides a monthly stipend to students and up to four years of funding for their Ph.D. studies at independent universities in Singapore. Additionally, scholars can expect an overseas attachment of up to 12 months during their Ph.D. studies.
After completing their Ph.D. studies, awardees willing to further deepen their research skills and widen their global network via post-doctoral training at top overseas research entities or universities can apply for the A*STAR International Fellowship (AIF).

Benefits of the ACIS Scholarship
Awardees of the ACIS Scholarship will benefit from the program for four years as follows:
- Full tuition fees
- Monthly food allowance and CPF contribution (where applicable)

- Support for up to 12 months of overseas attachment
- Post-doctoral Opportunity: ACIS scholars are also eligible to apply for the A*STAR International Fellowship, with up to two years of funding sustenance for post-doctoral training in a topmost overseas laboratory or institution.

Eligibilities for the ACIS Scholarship
All applicants should meet the following criteria:
- The award is open for application from Singaporeans and international students
- Non-Singaporean applicants should have completed or going to complete a degree in a Singapore autonomous university
- All applicants should have obtained or will get, a minimum of a 2nd Upper-Class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Candidates in the last semester of their final year of bachelor’s degree can also apply for this opportunity.
- Fulfill the criteria and gain admission to a Ph.D. program in an autonomous university.
- Be strongly interested in pursuing a CIS research career in industry R&D labs, spin-off companies or academia, or technology enterprises.

Important Notes:
- The application cycle for ACIS Scholarship is per the university admission intakes in August or January each year.
- Candidates must parallelly apply for Ph.D. admission to their intended university.
- All applicants should remember that the choice of Ph.D. supervisor(s), university, and project of successful candidates is subject to approval by A*STAR.
- Applicants may submit GRE scores (if available) for an overall assessment of their scholarship application.
