Persian Gulf University in Iran is accepting applications for Persian Gulf Scholarships for 2025/2026. International applicants willing to pursue their higher education in Iran can apply for this scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits

Persian Gulf University offers several scholarships for talented international students who meet the criteria outlined in the university’s international student admission policy.

Scholarship Types:

  1. Full coverage of tuition, accommodation, and food expenses
  2. Coverage of tuition fees
  3. 70% coverage of tuition fees

Note: Students should pay health insurance, which was around 3.550,000 Toman in 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the general and specific criteria to apply for Persian Gulf Scholarships as follows:

General Requirements:

  • Applicants must not hold citizenship of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
  • There must not be any legal prohibitions for continuing studies or staying in Iran.
  • Must provide a valid certificate of physical and mental health, approved by the political or consular offices of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the student’s home country or accredited medical centers of the university.

Specific Requirements:

  • Applicants must possess a minimum certificate equivalent to completing one of the standard educational courses in Iran, such as high school (12 years of formal education), bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, respectively, for entry into bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs.
  • If the applicant completed their previous education outside Iran, they must submit all educational certificates and transcripts to the Iranian Embassy for approval.
  • Initial admission to master’s and doctoral programs is subject to approval by the relevant council.

 

Notes:

  • Certificates from Afghanistan require approval from the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul.
  • The necessity and timing of obtaining a Persian language teaching certificate for university applicants are subject to regulations announced by the Ministry of Science.
  • Applicants for postdoctoral research courses are accepted based on relevant regulations and the university’s available fields.

  • Scan of the first page of the passport (valid for a minimum of 8 months)
  • Scan of the most recent degree certificate
  • Scan of transcripts from the last academic year
  • Completion of the registration form in Word format (available for download)
  • Scanned personal photo
  • Saorg interception documentation
  • Application fee 35 USD (2180000 USD)

How to Apply?

Initial admission process:

    • Applicants can register information in the Saorg system
    • Applicant can submit their documents online HERE. In case of difficulty, contact  admission.pgu@gmail.com for review.
    • Study visa issuance and collection process through the university’s consular affairs department.
    • Admitted students must complete academic residence-related tasks promptly.

Definitive admission process:

    • Submission of study visas to the university’s consular affairs department.
    • The shortlisted ones will be introduced to the educational vice-chancellor for final enrollment.

Notes:

  • International students adhere to Iranian student regulations post-enrollment.
  • Original certified academic documents are required for final enrollment.
