Benefits:

• The annual award value ranges from €5,000 to €50,000, with an average grant amount of €35,000.
• Mama Cash also offers companionship to all spouses who receive grants from the Resilience Fund. Resources that are non-financial as well as financial can provide accompaniment. Grantee-partners can acquire, develop, maintain, expand, and hone their networks and skill sets by utilizing these resources. Their accompaniment support is tailored to meet the grantee-partner’s specific organizational needs and plans.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Self-led feminist organizations and initiatives located in Africa, West Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania are encouraged to apply to Mama Cash. This year, applications for new Resilience Fund grants from non-residents of the aforementioned regions will not be accepted.
• For organizations and projects to qualify for the Resilience Fund, they need to:
  • Work from the perspectives of feminism, women’s rights, girls’ rights, and transgender and/or intersex rights;
  • Follow the lead set by the women, girls, transgender, and/or intersex individuals they collaborate with;
  • Should make it their main goal to advance the human rights of women, girls, transgender persons, and/or intersex individuals, rather than just making this a secondary priority of certain of its programs;
  • Strive for fundamental and systemic change; also, pay attention to topics that are under- or debated in relation to their context.
• Mama Cash gives priority to organizations or projects with yearly budgets under 200,000 euros. Giving money to larger organizations is not Mama Cash’s top priority, and very few of their grantee partners have yearly budgets of more than 200,000 euros.
