Overall introduction
This is an eleven-series course by Resilience and Disaster Risk Management Learning Lab. These online facilitated and self-paced courses are projected to strengthen your knowledge as a resilience and disaster risk management expert. The World Bank, over the last decade, in collaboration with the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR), acted as a global leader in evaluating exposure to risks and addressing disaster hazards which proves the importance of these topics.

About this course
In this course, you will learn how to identify the characteristics of risk, how the information achieved is used to evaluate risk in its totality, and how this information helps in addressing risk. The course offers a primary understanding and knowledge of the course concepts and themes around DRM today. Additionally, this course will allow attendees to explore: the models and mini-case histories applied to Disaster Risk Management including functions of the Risk, Exposure, and Susceptibility model as described via interactive case studies and exercises.
