Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet these requirements:
- Application is open to professional journalists, representatives of media organizations, professional journalism organizations (unions/associations/societies), and freelance journalists.
- Publications must have been published between June 1st, 2024, and May 31st, 2025.
- Entries must be provided in English or accompanied by a high-quality professional English translation.
Requirements for Publications:
- Publications must be in English.
- Non-English publications are accepted if accompanied by a high-quality professional English translation.
- The translation must be in the same file as the original publication.
- Translations must meet English language norms and standards.
- Automatic or word-for-word translations are not permitted.
- Eligible materials include those published in printed media or posted on media websites.
Required Documents
You must submit these documents and materials:
- Publication:
- One entry (one report or a series of reports) in PDF format (max 10 MB)
- Must be published between June 1st, 2024 to May 31st, 2025
- Max 15,000 words.
- It must include full, readable text and be of high quality.
- Consent Form:
- Signed scanned copy of the author(s)’ consent to participate
- If a third party submits the entry, all authors must provide signed consent
- Personal Details:
- For the representative of a journalism organization:
- Surname and first name.
- Name of the professional journalism organization.
- Country of registration.
- Contact details (phone number, email).
- For the author of the publication:
- Surname and first name.
- Gender.
- Citizenship or country of residence.
- Place of work (organization name and address).
- Position.
- Contact details (phone number, email).
- Reference contact details for the author(s).
- For the representative of a journalism organization:
- Publication Information:
- Category of the competition.
- Title and media platform where the report was published.
- Country of publication (for printed media).
- Original language of the publication.
- Link(s) to the publication (with login and password if required).
- Date of publication.
- Brief reasons for the nomination (a few statements).

Selection Criteria
The following are the publication evaluation criteria:
- Accuracy: Information must be fact-based and reliable.
- Independence: Avoidance of political and corporate bias or undue influence.
- Impartiality and Fairness: Ensuring fairness and neutrality.
- Humanity: Application of non-discrimination principles and respect for victims, minorities, and vulnerable groups.
- Transparency: Openness in the reporting process and accountability of the authors.
- Ethical Principles: Promotion of ethical journalism standards.
- Positive Impact: Contribution to positive changes in political, economic, or social contexts.
- Translation Accuracy: High-quality translation for non-English publications is required.
