Opportunity Description

ETH4D visiting student grants are designed for applicants to bringing a collaborating PhD or master students for applicants from low and middle countries to ETH Zurich for a short term research program. During this research program applicant will be engaged with professional laboratory participants to learn fresh new methodologies, technics, or develop his/her research project in a unique academic setting. Besides, applicants can build their networks with global participants.

Duration: 2 to 3 Months

Location: Switzerland

Benefits of the program:

The grant amount is 10000 CHF and will cover the followings:

  • Monthly living allowance up to 2.3 CHF.
  • Traveling costs.
  • Visa fee.

Eligibilities:

  • Applicants must be from one of the eligible countries. The preference will be given to the students from low-income countries.
  • Applicants must have registered for a Master’s or PhD degree in a recognized university or research institute in one of the listed countries below.
  • Must be in touch with ETH professor before the research stay.

Required documents:

  • Application form
  • Letter of motivation.
  • Recent CV or Resume including a list of publications.
  • Letter of support from ETH professor.

 Selection:

  • The professional ETH4D committee for Exchanges will evaluate the submitted applicants.
  • Successful applicants will be notified two months after the deadline by ETH host professor.

Reporting:

  • The ETH host professor will be responsible for the financial and technical reporting of the applicants.

Interested applicants who have registered for a Master’s or PhD degree can submit their documents by an ETH host professor before the deadline.
