Opportunity Description

The Rule of Law Youth Network (RoLYN) is inviting nominations for Youth Representatives to actively engage in combating corruption and addressing environmental challenges. RoLYN, is a collaborative initiative between the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe (NSC) and the joint European Union/Council of Europe South Programme V. Its primary aim is to empower young activists in upholding human rights, democracy, and the rule of law as fundamental principles.

The 2024-2025 edition of RoLYN will focus on the intersection of corruption and environmental damage. Up to 20 youth representatives from NSC member States and partner countries will be selected for this two-year program, which includes activities such as anti-corruption standards training in Tunisia (March 2024) and participation in events like the African University on Youth and Development in Cabo Verde (June 2024) and the University on Youth and Development in Spain (September 2024).

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for nomination, candidates must meet specific criteria:

  • Candidates must have relevant experience in governance or environmental initiatives.
  • Age requirement: 18 to 30 years old.
  • Proficiency in English or Arabic is mandatory.
  • The North-South Centre prioritizes diversity and guarantees a fair selection process based on gender and geographical balance.
