Details of AUAF’s Scholarships for Afghan Students

Fields of study
AUAF now offers four (4) undergraduate majors.
They are detailed briefly below.
1) Information Technology
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology provides students with the skills and knowledge
required for professional employment in information technology, business, and management. The curriculum combines database foundations, human-computer interaction, networking, programming, Web systems, and technologies such as mobile apps, non-relational databases, and cloud computing. - Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security: focuses on the practical and theoretical aspects of cybersecurity, including network security and vulnerability assessment, information security policy and governance, digital forensics, and ethical hacking.
- Bachelor of Data Science: concentrates on the theoretical and practical knowledge and abilities required to become a data scientist. Its curriculum includes a significant project and a thorough basis in computer science, mathematics, and statistics.
2) Law
- Bachelor of Law in Science: offers students the legal foundations and practical knowledge they need to think, write, speak, and behave like attorneys.The degree program aims to improve students’ knowledge of comparative law, as well as Afghan and international law.
3) Political Science and Public Administration
Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Public Administration: exposes students to political inquiry’s theoretical substance and research methodologies. The Political Science and Public Administration major includes a diverse curriculum in the disciplinary subfields of International Relations, Comparative Politics, and Afghanistan Government and Politics, as well as an overview of Public Administration, all of which are designed to prepare students to understand and evaluate politics.
4) Business
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration offers four concentrations: Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing. Students will gain an understanding of the key concepts of innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainability that drive global demand for management, while learning quantitative and qualitative analysis, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
Master of Business Administration: The application opened from October 23 to October 28.
Scholarships:
AUAF offers two types of scholarship programs to support its students: AUAF-funded scholarships (AFS) and externally funded scholarships (EFS) provided by external donors and organizations.
Undergraduate (UG) Program
- Annual tuition fee: AFN 466,500
- Per semester fee: AFN 233,250
- Per credit tuition fee: AFN 15,550 AFN 12,500

- Duolingo English Test fee: AFN 1,700
- Duplicate Diploma fee: AFN 7,500
- Graduation fee: AFN 6,500
- One Official Transcript fee: AFN 500
Who can apply?
Applicants who meet the following criteria can apply:
- Be a high school graduate
- Possess good knowledge of the English language
- Not have any liability with AUAF.
Eligibility Criteria for Scholarships:
To qualify for scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- a) Must be admitted as a degree-seeking student in either the MBA or undergraduate programs.
- b) Must be an Afghan citizen.
- c) Must be making satisfactory academic progress in their chosen course of study according to ALIAF AFS minimum eligibility criteria (9 billing credits), with the exception of senior students in their final semester.
- d) Must not be currently receiving any scholarship from AUAF.
- e) Must possess a high school diploma and meet the minimum TOEFL/IBT/Duolingo or IELTS score requirements as outlined by AUAF Funded Scholarships or the Admissions Department.
- f) Must have completed all documentation required to satisfy AFS requirements.
- g) Must have an enrollment status that allows for AFS disbursement. h) Must have a valid identification card (Tazkera).
Applicants must submit all required documents, except the English Language Test Score. Applicants who have a valid test score may submit it at the time of applying. Those who do not may receive a test code to take the exam by a date specified by the Office of Admissions.
How to Apply
Interested applicants may complete the online application form linked to the ” Apply Now button between October 23, 2025, and October 28, 2025, for consideration. Late applications will not be accepted. The process is for the UG Track PROGRAM ONLY, with courses starting in August 2026. Those who complete the application form will be reviewed. If selected to move on to the next phase, you will be contacted by email to provide additional information. You will need to ensure you provide the correct email address, as this will be the only way AUAF can contact you if selected to move forward with the admissions process. Please provide an email address that you will have access to from October 2025 το August 2026. AUAF will not be able to update your email during this process, and it will be the only way we contact you. The admissions process will not be completed until August 2026. Please do not send emails or messages about the status of your application.
