The NPO Asian Institute of Low Carbon Design (AILCD) is announced the 9th AILCD international Student Design Competition and accepts applicants from all over the world.

Key dates:

  • Deadline: 1 November 2019
  • Proposal submission deadline: 11 November 2019
  • Result announcement: 13 December 2019
  • Conference date: 15 February – 1 March 2020
  • Award ceremony: End of February 2020

 

Location:  Japan                                Competition Site:  Mojiko area, in the east of Kitakyushu (Japan)

Theme: Less is Moji- Reboot the City                       Organizer: NPO Asian Institute of Low Carbon Design, The University of Kitakyushu (Japan)

Required language: English

 

Prizes:

  • First place: 50000 Yen with a Certificate
  • Second place: 30000 Yen with a Certificate
  • Third place: 10000 Yen with a Certificate
  • 7 honorable mentions: Certificate
  • The winner proposals will be invited to attend the international conference and workshop “Less is Moji – Reboot the City”

 

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a Master or Ph.D. degree
  • The undergraduate application must be form Architecture, Landscape, Civil Engineering, and related area.
  • You can apply individually or with a team
  • Write a proposal with one or more of the following features:
    • urban shrinkage
    • low carbon city concept
    • overall sustainable concept
    • green space design
    • usage of renewable energy systems
    • sustainable transport systems
    • connection to the surrounding area

Note: After registration, applicants will receive a registration number that will be integrated into all bards of your final submission.
