Benefits and Financial Aids
The UCL Global master’s scholarships are offered as follows:
- The scholarship is worth £15,000 for one year.
- For Master’s programs extending to two years, the award will be payable up to 50% each year.
- The scholarship may be combined with other funding sources, but the UCL award may be adjusted accordingly.
- Recipients must inform the UCL Student Funding Office of any additional funding received for their Master’s degree studies.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Eligible to pay the Overseas fee rate
- Be from a lower-income background
- Must have submitted a complete admission application (including references) for a full-time Master’s degree at UCL.
- Distance-learning options are not eligible; students must attend UCL in person.
Responsibilities
Scholarship recipients must:
- Notify the UCL Student Funding Office of any additional funding awarded for their UCL Master’s degree studies.
- Adhere to the regulations regarding applying the scholarship to tuition fees and maintenance.
Required Documents

Selection Process
The scholarship is awarded based on financial need and upon the recommendation of the UCL Student Funding Office, which is responsible for assessing and allocating awards.
How Do You Apply for the UCL Global Master’s Scholarship?
Prospective students applying for the UCL Global Master’s Scholarship must first submit an admission application, including references. Only then can they apply for a scholarship.
