Organization Description

James Dyson Foundation is Dyson’s charitable arm that introduces young people to the exciting engineering world. Dyson encourages young engineers to think differently, make mistakes, and realize their engineering potential.

James Dyson Foundation provides money, materials, and mentorship that promising inventors need to get hands-on with problems, think laterally, and find solutions.

During the last two decades, Dyson grew from one man with a single idea to a global technology enterprise of over 10,000 people, almost half of whom are engineers. They are from acoustic to robotic, software to electronics using their diverse skills to solve the problems others ignore.

James Dyson is the first inventor of the DC01, the world’s first bagless Vacuum Cleaner machine. He established the Foundation because of his passion for encouraging, inspiring, and cultivating the next generation of engineers. Read more about the Foundation on its official website.
