The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is a not-for-profit German foundation named after Germany’s first democratically elected President, Friedrich Ebert. The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany supports it financially.

It was established in 1925 and is FES is committed to advancing both socio-political and economic development in the spirit of social democracy through civic education, research, and international collaboration. Besides, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is the oldest political foundation in Germany, providing awards, fellowships, investigations, and other initiatives globally.
