Eligibility Criteria

Applicants applying for the Zonta Women in STEM Award must meet the following criteria:

Be a woman aged 18-35 at the time of application.
Demonstrated groundbreaking research, pioneering discoveries, or exemplary contributions to advancing knowledge and innovation in a STEM-related field.
Must align with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Designated Degree Program List for STEM fields (View STEM-designated degree list).
Global Accessibility: Women in Zonta districts and countries worldwide may apply. Applicants in areas without a local Zonta club may apply through a Zonta e-club or district.

How to Apply

In order to apply for the Zonta Women in STEM award, follow the following steps:

Use the Club Locator at zonta.org/locateaclub to find a local Zonta club.
Download, complete, and submit the application in a typed format to a Zonta club or district in the accepted language(s) by the printed deadline.

Application Requirements:

Complete the official application form
Verification of current enrollment from a school official (if applicable) or a letter from your employer (if applicable).
Two recommendations from unrelated adults (e.g., teachers, school officials, employers, community leaders) directly to the Zonta club or district. Do not send these recommendations through the applicant.
