About the Youth Ag Summit in Brazil

Due to increasing the world population and reaching to an anticipated number of 10 billion by 2050, and decreasing resources, we are facing feeding challenges. To find a sustainable solution for these challenges, we need ideas and innovations that can change today’s problems in tomorrow’s opportunities. The Youth Ag Summit is designed to provide a platform for young people to connect and empower them as agricultural change-makers and recognized the best idea and solution for the challenge.

This event is organized for those who are between the age of 18-25 having the idea that can help to end hunger in the world.

through the Youth Ag Summit, each delegate identifies three little things:

• a personal challenge to implement their learning in their local society
• Come to the summit with a thrive for change project
• work to develop concrete project plans for their ideas and encouraged to implement the project upon completion of the summit.

Youth Ag Summit  2021 details:

Location: Virtual

this time a two-day summit will be followed by a ten-week virtual incubator called Yas University in 2022 to develop project ideas through key insights and capacity building developed in partnership with UN Sustainable Solutions Network (UN SDSN).

Application deadline:

Period: 3 days (November 16-17 , 2021)

Number of young participants: 100

Conditions:

• Be between the age of 18 to 25
• Be engaged with SDGs
• Have the idea project and passionate about agriculture, food security, world hunger, environmental stewardship, biotechnology, farming, or animal husbandry.

Required document:

• 1 photograph (high quality )
• A short video (max 3 min) expressing your project idea to feed a hungry planet
