Financial Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the University of Macerata Scholarships, applicants must meet specific and strict requirements:
- Nationality: Be a Non-EU citizen residing outside of Italy, or an EU citizen (excluding Italian citizens). Dual citizens with an Italian passport are considered Italian and are ineligible.
- Age Limits: * Bachelor’s Degree Applicants: Must be born on or after January 1, 2001.
- Master’s Degree Applicants: Must be born on or after January 1, 1998.
- Academic Qualifications: Hold a valid foreign entry qualification awarded by a non-Italian school or higher education institution eligible for access to the chosen UniMC study program.
- Language Proficiency: Prove knowledge of the program’s medium of instruction (English or Italian) at a minimum B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) via recognized language certifications.
- Enrollment Status: Must be applying to enroll full-time in the first year of a program. Transfers from other universities or enrollments in subsequent years are not eligible.
- Prior Awards: Must not have been a previous recipient of a University of Macerata international scholarship or currently enrolled in a UniMC program.

- For Bachelor’s applicants: High school diploma proving 12 years of prior schooling.

- Motivational Video recorded in the language of instruction (English or Italian).

- Valid B2 Language Certificate (English or Italian, depending on the program).
How to Apply
The application process is strictly divided into two essential phases. Please follow these steps carefully:
- Phase 1 – Pre-admission (Deadline: April 24, 2026): You must apply for a preliminary evaluation of your qualifications. For most degree programs, submit your pre-admission application via the official portal at apply.unimc.it. For programs not listed on the portal, use the specific online form available on the UniMC website.
- Phase 2 – Confirmation (Deadline: May 15, 2026): If your pre-admission is approved and you meet all enrollment requirements, you will receive an email notification. You must confirm your participation in the scholarship selection by answering “Yes” to the notification by the deadline.
- Selection & Acceptance: A Selection Committee will evaluate your CV, Reference Letter, Language Certificate, and Motivational Video. If selected, you must officially accept the scholarship within 7 days of the notification.

Can I be awarded another scholarship by the University of Macerata or ERDIS if I obtain this scholarship? No. This scholarship is not cumulative with any other scholarships offered by the University of Macerata, ERDIS (Regional Authority for the Right to Education of the Marche Region), or the “Invest Your Talent in Italy” program.
I have already submitted my application for pre-admission and I have been accepted. How do I apply for the scholarship? Once pre-admitted, you will receive an official notification with instructions on how to participate in the scholarship competition. You simply need to reply “Yes” to that notification no later than May 15, 2026, to be considered by the Selection Committee.
Is there an age limit to apply for this scholarship? Yes. Bachelor’s degree applicants must have been born on or after January 1, 2001. Master’s degree applicants must have been born on or after January 1, 1998.
