Background information

SIT STAR Contest is online Computer Science and Software Engineering competition organized by Switzerland’s Schaffhausen Institute of Technology (SIT) to advance interest in the two mentioned fields. By participating in the contest, you get to solve actual programming problems. Also, you put your knowledge and skills to a 4-hour test and win a chance to get an SIT Master scholarship and study in the fields above. Contest content

February 1-7, 2021: Practice

Get familiar with the testing environment in the practice round. This step is highly recommended. Don’t worry, it won’t impact your final score!

February 10, 2021: The contest takes pace

• You will have 4 hours to complete the tasks on February 10, 2021, at 8 am UTC time. Remember that the registration will close ONE hour before the contest start.

To be announced (date): Interview and winners announcement

• SIT will be announcing the SIT STAR Contest winners and sending out email notifications to interview with the Professors from SIT.

Eligibility criteria

• SIT Star Contest is open to everyone worldwide.
• You can apply with any skill level and there is no age limit. All you should have is an interest in coding.

If you are looking to receive the scholarship prize for SIT’s MSc program, you should:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any other Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) field, or be in the last year of your studies.
• Have a level of English language sufficient to pursue graduate studies.
