How to apply for this research scholarship?

Prospective candidates should send a CV to Ms. Cate McKenzie (Cathryn.McKenzie@unisa.edu.au) along with a personal statement indicating their research interests and how they relate to the topic.

After the initial endorsement by the relevant supervisor, you will be required to go through the UniSA online application process.

In order to go through the UniSA Scholarship online application process, applicants need to go through a 7-step application process as follows and submit an online application.

1. Check your eligibility

All international students must fulfill English language requirements to be qualified for acceptance to a research program.

2. Match your research field

While submitting your application, you will need to determine which field of the University you are looking for. Determining the fields of research that the University offers will also help you in reaching your potential supervisor too.

3. Find a supervisor

A supervisor is someone as an academic staff member from the University of South Australia who will guide your research work during your research degree.

Hence, It is desirable that you recommend a supervisor when completing your application; however, you can submit your application without doing so. It is essential that you do not recommend a supervisor, excepting they have accepted, in principle, to lead your research. Read more information on this on the website.

4. Specify a scholarship

In your online application, you will need to choose the type of scholarship you want to apply for.

5. Organize referee reports

UniSA requires you to provide at least one academic or professional referee report before we can assess your application. So, in applying for a competitive scholarship, it strongly recommends that you get two referee reports to increase your success chance. Your referees should complete the referee report and email it to research.referees@unisa.edu.au. Read more on the website in the respective section.

6. Required documents

For every Bachelor or higher degree you have done, assure to submit necessary documents/academic records as listed below:

  • University academic mark sheet/transcript, including details of courses/subjects undertaken and grades, attained. In case your original transcript is not in English, you must upload both the original and an official verified English language translation.
  • University grading scale (e.g. A = 85% to 100%).
  • University diploma supplement (if appropriate).

Note: All supplementary documents must be submitted along with the application. You should arrange all the documents from each qualification into a single file that you can upload to your application.

7. Apply online

Before applying, please read the applicant checklist available in the “apply online” section on the main page, which will help you in preparing the documents and get more information.
