Opportunity Description

George Mason University offers the Oskar Morgenstern Fellowship which is a one-year competitive fellowship program for graduate students from any university and in various disciplines such as economics, political science, and sociology. This fellowship is aiming at exposing admitted students to strategies for applying quantitative methods to unearth fundamental questions and thoughts which advanced the political economy schools of Austria, Virginia, and Bloomington. The fellows in this program will spend two weekends and half a week’s time in the colloquium, meals, and other social activities during the academic year. Additionally, the fellows of the institution are also qualified to apply for conference and research support of the center.

Program requirements

The Oskar Morgenstern Fellows are required to:

  • Stay enrolled as a degree looking for doctoral student during their participation in the program;
  • Actively take part in all portions of the scheduled programs as explained above;
  • Catch the set declines with regard to their preparation for research proposals;
  • Be present on time and have readiness in advance;
  • Accomplish a short evaluation survey after each conference;
  • Keep an up-to-date record with the program for further tasks concerned;
  • Submit and updated CV quarterly over the course of their attendance in the program;

  • Applicants’ recent graduate school background,
  • Their research and research interest,
  • Their acquaintance with the think tank affiliated with the three mentioned schools of political economy,
  • Their prospect/expectation from the program,
  • A recent curriculum vitae, and
  • A few questions with answers,
