Scholarships:

Confucius Institute offers scholarship  for all degrees (PhD, master and Bachelor’s degree) as well scholarship for one academic year study, one semester study and four week study.

Scholarships for degrees are offered for programs starting in September 2019. The scholarship provides the following expenses:

  • Tuition fee
  • Accommodation
  • Monthly Living allowance of 2500 CNY for bachelor’s degree, 3000 CNY for Master degree and 3500 CNY for PhD.

Who can apply:

  • Be national of a country other than People’s Republic of China
  • Have good physical and mental conditions
  • Good academic records
  • Demonstrate the commitment to teach and promote the Chinese language internationally.
  • Not be more than 35 years old. Current Chinese language teachers should not be over 45 and undergraduate students should not over 25.
  • Have a minimum HSK score of 200 (Level 6) for PHD, 210 (level 5) and 60 HSKK for master degree, 210 (level 4) for bachelor’s degree, 270 level three for one academic year study, 180 (level 3) for one semester study and an HSK test score one month program

Apply to Confucius Institute website, search the host institution, upload your documents and print the application. Then apply to the host institution you desire to study.

Required documents:

  • Passport copy
  • Valid HSK and HSKK test score
  • Academic degrees diploma and transcript
  • Two reference letters (only for PhD and Master degree )
  • Personal statement for PhD applicants (3000 words in Chinese – includes intended field of study and research proposal
  • Employment certificate for current Chinese language teachers
  • Certified document of designation for applicants under the age of 18.
