Information-Master’s Degree Scholarship in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (MTCSOL)

The PKU Confucius Institute Scholarship Program is announced to offer support to international students, Chinese Language teachers and young intellectuals to study a Master degree in information in China. The purpose of the program is to develop the Confucius Institutes, promote Chinese language and familiarize students with Chinese culture. It also aims to produce qualified Chinese-language teachers and Chinese-language learners.

Who can apply?

• Confucius Institutes’ students
• Abroad local Chinese language teachers
• Winners of the “Chinese Bridge”
• Foreign college students with a major in Chinese

Eligibility:

• Not more than 35 years old
• Holds a bachelor degree or equivalent
• Obtain the HSK (level 6): Minimum 210 score and on the HSKK (intermediate level): Minimum 60 score
• Priority will be given to applicants who has a job in teaching
• Do not be Chinese citizen

Participants can submit the following documents or send them by post (below address):

• Application Form of PKU Admission for Foreign Students with your signature and one photo
• Application form of Confucius Institute Scholarship
• Bachelor Degree or Pre-graduation Certificate (Chinese or English)
• Academic transcripts (Chinese or English)
• Two reference letters (Academic)
• Chinese proficiency Certificate, including HSK\HSKK report (Copy)
• A copy of passport
• Proof of teaching experience issued by the employer (Chinese language teachers)

Application Process:

To apply, participants must register themselves through the PKU Online Application System, after logging in, they should complete the application form and submit it. Then print the pdf version of application form and put your signature and photo on it.

In addition they need to make a separate account on the Confucius Institute Scholarship website  And submit the completed Scholarship Application Form online. Or send them via post.
