Application Procedure

There are different methods to apply for CGS at the China University of Petroleum:

A. Chinese Government Scholarship Type A Program

Candidates who apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship Type A Program should follow these instructions:

• Submit your application to the overseas student dispatch authorities and obtain the required recommendations.
• Apply to China University of Petroleum (Beijing) via this portal. If eligible, you will receive a Pre-Admission Notice (no fee for CSC Class A applications).
• Submit your application on the CSC portal: www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina. Select Type-A for Bilateral National Projects and obtain the agency number from your local dispatch authority. Choose China University of Petroleum (Beijing) as your first choice.
• Submit all required documents to your home country’s dispatching authority within the deadline.

B. Chinese Government Scholarship Type B Program

Applicants applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship Type B Program should submit their applications to the CUP and the CSC application portals. The China University of Petroleum (CUP) agency number in the application portal is 11414.
